Ti2’s partner, Softing Industrial Automation GmbH, will offer initial products on the Siemens Industrial Edge Marketplace in the first quarter of 2022.
The edgeConnector products from Softing’s dataFEED family now support MQTT subscriber functionality and thus bidirectional communication with IoT cloud or IoT edge applications.
The gap between the industrial equipment and automation networks also known as the Operations Technology (OT) and the Information Technology (IT) were being connected through the Industrial IoT (IIoT).
Helmholz a partner of Ti2, has recently shared an insightful webinar focusing on their product PN/MQTT Coupler and how to use their product to transfer data from PROFINET to the Cloud that was explained by Carsen Bokholt and presented by Bastian Ziegler.
The edgeConnector Modbus of Softing Industrial is a Docker container application for Modbus TCP controllers that is flexible that follows the edgeConnector Siemens that is for connecting SIMATIC S7 controllers and edgeConnector 840D which is for accessing the data from SINUMERIK 840D controllers.
As partners of Softing, we are delighted to share with you their Version V5.10 dataFEED OPC Suite Extended software solution for OPC UA and OPC Classic communication and for cloud connectivity in a single product.
This technology has gained serious momentum in automation with so many benefits, these small software modules, containing all required drivers and libraries can be deployed with great flexibly and with fantastic portability utilising cloud platforms.
The new age of industry technology is changing manufacturing at an exponential rate. Artificial intelligence (AI) as well as other Industry 4.0 technologies like Machine Learning (ML) are becoming more and more an essential element of Factory 4.0.
With the continuous development and adaptation of Internet of things and Industry 4.0 in the analysis and application of industrial data made some users to wonder of the future automation technologies.
Quality Assurance (QA) data controls how products are made, and the repeatability in production that is vital in all pan-industrial manufacturing scenarios which makes QA to become a fundamental digital task that offers facilities efficient and cost-effective production processes.
Right on track for the IIoT
Modern communication architecture is required in controlling and managing the discrete and process manufacturing of plants which is able to aggregate their heterogeneous data. SmartLink from Softing facilitates interface-neutral data integration in complex production systems.
